A comprehensive feeding and swallowing evaluation may be useful for children who:

-were born premature
-use a feeding tube as their partial or primary nutrition source
-have a cleft lip or palate, or a genetic syndrome
-with a congenital heart disease diagnosis
-present with slow weight gain
-have difficulty with breast or bottle feeding
-have a tongue or lip tie (or need to be assessed for one!)
-have difficulty progressing to purees
-need help transitioning from bottle to straw or cup
-have food allergies or gastric discomfort
-are selective eaters and are continuing to de-select foods from their diet
-struggle with different textures, colors, or smells when presented with new foods
-have delayed chewing abilities and remain "stuck" on purees
-display mealtime behaviors that cause meal time to be stressful
-feel anxiety around eating and new foods
Missy has experience with all of the above issues and would love to take the stress out of meal time!
